Driving from Portsmouth Ferry (35 minutes) Please remember, in the UK we drive on the LEFT side of the road! Only 28 miles to Arundel! On leaving the ferry port, turn left onto the M275 (M27) “Out of City”. After 1 mile, move into centre or right-hand lane and follow all signs “M27(E) Brighton”, “M27 (East)” then “Brighton Chichester (A27)”. Stay on A27 (dual-carriageway) heading East for 26 miles. After passing The White Swan hotel at the end of the dual-carriageway, the historic market town of Arundel will greet you at the next roundabout – welcome!
Driving from Brighton (30 minutes) Only 20 miles to Arundel! From wherever you are in Brighton or Hove, it is best to travel on the A27 to visit Arundel. Once on the A27, head west and follow all signs “A27 Worthing”, thru the Southwick Hill Tunnel, past Shoreham Airport and Lancing. At Worthing, continue west, following signs “A27 Chichester Portsmouth”. On leaving Worthing, and after passing The Coach & Horses, travel another 6 miles along the dual-carriageway until it comes to an abrupt stop! Keep to the right-hand lane and follow signs to “Arundel”. After 600m, as you descend the hill, you will first witness the magnificent Arundel Castle atop our historic market town. At the roundabout, take the 2nd exit to park and enjoy the many wonders of Arundel!
Arundel is about a 90-minute train journey from London Bridge and London Victoria Train Stations (check your particular train times as there are also slow services). It generally takes less than an hour from Gatwick Airport train station. Trains accept bicycles on off-peak services without booking.
Buses There are 2 bus providers, running through the centre of Arundel Town Centre.
