Easter Sunday 2021 is on April 4th and there are plenty of events and activities taking place throughout Easter weekend and the school holidays. Come and discover lots of Easter ideas and fun for all the family with our handy what's on guide.

Whether you're looking for something different to do or are eager to get back to enjoying 'traditonal' Easter activities with the family, we've got some great outdoor ideas to get you out and about 'hunting', 'searching' and discovering South East England. Top things to do over Easter in the South East

  • West Oxfordshire Fairytale Farm is looking forward to welcoming guests back to the farm for an all-new Easter event, running from 12th to 18th April. Journey down the rabbit hole for Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, Oxfordshire's most famous family adventure. You will get the chance to meet Alice and watch her singing at the Mad Hatter's Tea Party. Visit the beautiful new interactive Easter display for 2021, where Mother Goose has been joined by some new friends.
  • East Sussex Wakehurst Dennis and Gnasher's Big Bonanza! Join in the Beano family fun this Easter holiday at Wakehurst with an outdoor festival of jokes, plants and pranks. To help celebrate Dennis' birthday there's a brand new comic-strip to enjoy and an interactive story trail around the gardens.  
  • Hampshire - New Forest Activities Looking for Easter Activities for the whole family? Enjoy a fun-filled guided paddle with New Forest Activities, along the Beaulieu River in stable 'Canadian style' canoes. Spend time taking in the stunning scenery of the river before disembarking for an Easter egg hunt with a twist! 
  • Kent - Both Port Lympne Safari Park, Hythe and Howletts Wildlife Park, Canterbury will be re-opening their doors to visitors from the 12th April.  Why not head along and meet the neighbours, from Siberian tigers and black and gold Howler monkeys at Port Lympne to the black rhinos and ring tailed lemurs at Howletts.  A whole host of wild adventures await. 
  • Mid Sussex Borde Hill Garden Hop along to Borde Hill Garden for Bertram Bunny's Easter Adventure. Spot the signs of spring whilst exploring the Garden on the Easter trail. This year, join Bertram Bunny on this fantasy 'Easter Island' adventure, seeking out the treasure hidden by Jumping Jack Bunny returned from the high seas. Find all the treasures and solve some puzzles along the way to receive a treat.
  • Surrey Painshill Giant, colourful Easter egg statues are waiting to be found around Painshill landscape garden this Easter. The gardens, created in the 18th century, invite you to walk around a walk of art and discover amazing follies and simply stunning views.
  • Regional - Why not head out and about on your own South East adventure from the 12th April, with the flexibility and freedom of a your very own self contained holiday home.  Bunk Campers offer pick up from London or Coventry, with a choice of modern 2 - 6 berth fully equipped motorhomes to budget friendly VW campers, there’s something for everyone.
  • West Sussex - Leonardslee  Are you ready for some Easter fun?  Journey to Leonardslee and explore the beautiful gardens with animals hiding all over the place ready for you to find. Grab an activity sheet from reception and follow the instructions to find which animal is where. At the end of the Easter Trail, head to reception to hand in the activity sheet for a yummy Easter treat!
  • South Oxfordshire Stonor Park To celebrate Easter and to mark the lifting of lockdown restrictions, Stonor Park will host its annual Easter trail. Hosted in its new adventure playground, Tumblestone Hollow and around the beautiful grounds of the estate, families will be able to explore the park to find clues, solve puzzles and word searches and receive a special chocolate treat at the Visitor Centre.
  • Hampshire - Gilbert White's House and Garden Painted to look like the eggs of birds, there's ten hidden eggs to find in Gilbert White's garden. Can you spot the odd one out among the birds featured. Collect all ten and claim a chocolate egg!
  • Buckinghamshire - Set in 5,000 acres of rolling parkland, Waddesdon, the Rothschild House & Gardens has one of the finest examples of a late Victorian garden in Britain. Famed for colourful bedding, spring 2021 will offer visitors the chance to enjoy 32,500 never-before-seen tulip bulbs.  

Please remember that Covid-19 restrictions are due to change on the 12th April, therefore not all attractions and accommodation will be open throughout the whole of Easter.  Most activities will need pre-booking to maintain social distancing, so please ensure you check the relevant website for the most up to date information, and book before you travel.   Our plan ahead page gives helpful hints and reminders.
