Watershed Productions present the Little Angel Theatre and Royal & Derngate, Northampton, production of The Singing Mermaid by Julia Donaldson and Lydia Monks.
This classic story by Julia Donaldson and Lydia Monks, adapted for the stage with enchanting puppets by Lyndie Wright and music & songs by Barb Jungr, is a perfect piece of theatre for 3 to 8 year-olds and their families.
The singing mermaid is tempted away to join a travelling circus, with the promise of a life of excitement (and her own swimming pool!).
The audiences love her singing but we soon find out she's been tricked by the dastardly circus master.
Will she ever escape? And who will help her along the way?
With a cast of three talented performers, enchanting puppets and music & songs by Barb Jungr (We're Going On A Bear Hunt, Michael Rosen's Chocolate Cake), Julia Donaldson and Lydia Monks' much-loved story comes to the stage.
"brings the world illustrated by Lydia Monks to gloriously barmy life… It's a lovely piece of theatre"
