This summer, visitors to Reading town centre will have the chance to get up close and personal with medieval fantasy models built from hundreds of thousands of toy bricks. The Fantasy Trail Quest will take place across Reading town centre, including The Oracle and Broad Street Mall, with 23 models on display between 27 July – 18 August.
Back for a second year, Reading BID (Reading's Business Improvement District) is bringing another exciting, family-friendly trail to the town centre, promising a fun free day out for visitors to Reading. The fantasy models are created by BRICKLIVE and will be located inside Broad Street Mall, The Oracle Shopping Centre and other participating stores around Reading town centre.
Step into a medieval fantasy land as hundreds of thousands of toy bricks bring to life a series of medieval scenes and characters including a castle made from over 5000 bricks, a unicorn weighing 105kg, and a 4m dragon made from 210,000 bricks. Among the characters visitors will find a wizard, a princess, a court jester, a royal knight – as well as a royal selfie throne for those all-important photos.
Visitors will be able to download a trail map from Visit-Reading.com or collect a copy from one of three pick-up points: The Oracle customer service desk, Broad Street Mall Central Square by the scenic lifts, or Reading Station's mobile information unit. Those who find the secret word, hidden in letters throughout the trail, will be in with a chance of winning some great prizes provided by town centre businesses.
The models are created by BRICKLIVE and the event is organised by Reading BID. This event is not associated with the LEGO Group.
