We are excited to announce our forthcoming Japanese Sake Experience here at The Feathered Nest
In collaboration with Tengu Sake and The Stratford Gallery, we invite you on a fascinating journey into Japanese sake and ceramics culture whilst enjoying our finest cuisine.
The experience will offer a delicious 6-course Tasting Menu paired with a specially chosen selection of sakes to complement each course.

Sake connoisseur Ollie Hilton-Johnson will be giving his expert commentary on each sake's origins, process and characteristics, explaining how sake can be a wonderful companion to Western food flavours.  In addition, Japanese ceramics expert Howard Clegg will bring to life sake’s place in Japanese arts culture, with a wonderfully curated collection of vessels made by some of Japan’s most respected ceramic artists.

Fine sake - arguably as nuanced as wine and of a similar alcohol content - can be enjoyed chilled, warmed and with a wide variety of food.  Lauded by Japanese chefs for its high umami content (the 5th taste) and its ability to enhance food, sake is gaining a notable following amongst western chefs, wine enthusiasts and gourmands alike.
