Join The Sussex Archaeological Society for a Guided Archaeology Walk at Arundel Park with James Sainsbury, Local Historian, Curator of Archaeology at Worthing Museum and Director of Arun Valley Archaeology Project on Saturday 25th March from 9.30am.
Created in the early Norman period by the Earls of Arundel, the lack of inhabitants and agriculture means that the Park is rich in archaeological remains, including an important later Iron Age-Roman transition settlement. We will also visit the enigmatic "War Dyke", from where we can see the whole Arun Valley and the ever-present Highdown Hill along the coast.
This walk will involve some steep ascents and descents throughout.
Full details on where to meet will be provided upon booking.
Tickets cost £7.50 per person and can be booked here.
