A quintessentially British event, the UK's premier picnic concert series returns to Blenheim Palace on Saturday 6th July.
This spectacular open-air concert takes place overlooking the iconic Column of Victory in the beatiful Palace grounds, and begins with toe-tapping vintage vocals from The Battle Proms Belles, followed by a colourful historic cavalry display. Then it's eyes to the skies as The Red Devils, the Parachute Regiment and British Army's official display team, perform their daring freefall display in the skies above the concert.
The highlight of the evening is a 2-hour orchestral performance of uplifting classical favourites including The Dam Busters March, The Downton Abbey Theme and Gershwin’s Summertime (performed by star soprano Denise Leigh), complementing uplifting classical works you know and love such as the 1812 Overture and the Battle Proms spectacular signature piece, Beethoven’s Battle Symphony, performed as he composed it with 193 live firing Napoleonic cannon providing a thunderous percussion!
An evening you won't forget, The Battle Proms culminates in a jubilant flag-waving sing-along finale, while magnificent musical firework displays light up the sky.
Gather your friends, pack a picnic, chill some fizz and head to the Battle Proms at Blenheim Palace!
