About

Public walk starting at The Guildhall.

Saturday 15th, Sunday 16th, Sunday 30th April at 2pm
Saturday 29th April at 11am

Enjoy a gentle stroll around the Windsor Guildhall hearing stories of coronations over the last 1,000 years.  We’ll focus on the ones that didn’t go quite to plan.  The monarch who came down with appendicitis before the ceremony; one who refused to sit on the Coronation chair; one who had to be carried up the aisle and other disasters such as falling bishops, Coronation rings being put on wrong fingers and the Queen Consort who was refused entry to her own Coronation.
