Aldingbourne Country Centre

About

The Aldingbourne Country Centre is a ‘Great day out’ in West Sussex.  With something for the whole family to enjoy.

You can visit their open farm where they have Pigs, Goats, Chickens, Donkeys, Ponies and Alpacas.  There is also the opportunity for animal handling with the Guinea Pigs (subject to availability).  Meet the farm team who give talks about the animals at selected times of the day.

Explore the woodland walk where you can learn about nature, and children can have fun on the woodland playground.  Try not to get lost in the maze, and have fun in the castle playground, sand & water play area, ride on tractors, and indoor soft play.  With their own onsite café serving homemade and locally sourced produce, they also have their own gift shop selling local items and gifts made by the people they support.  There is also a great indoor slide for everyone to enjoy, which takes you from the café to the shop.

Throughout the local school holidays they also have a busy events schedule, events include their ever popular Splash about, Bounce about and Reptile days.  They also offer pre-school classes during the term time for the under 5’s.  Visit their website for up to date information on their calendar of events.

The Country Centre is one of the social enterprises which make up the award winning charity ‘The Aldingbourne Trust’, which supports adults with learning disabilities and/or autism.  The people they support are actively involved around the centre, working on the open farm, café and shop.  There is also a horticulture enterprise where you can pick up some plants for your garden, wood recycling with those ideal items for DIY, and furniture restoration.

As a Trust that supports adults with learning disabilities – we know how important it is for all families to be able to enjoy a great day out.  The Country Centre also has one of only three ‘Changing Places’ facilities in the Chichester area.  Offering a disabled toilet along with a height adjustable changing table, a tracking hoist system and shower facilities.

The Country Centre is open all year round (except Easter Sunday and the Christmas holiday week).  With something for everyone to explore in any weather.
