Chase the winter blues away and support local Hospice care with the Rowans Hospice fundraising Winter Wonderland Walk around the stunning Southwick Estate.
This is a fun, family-friendly charity event where everyone is welcome to take part, including your four-legged friends. Please note dogs must remain on a short lead (no extendable leads allowed) throughout the walk and all poop must be scooped.
There will be festive fun to keep your spirits high, so look out for elves along the route who will give you a cheery wave and send you on your merry way.
Fancy dress is encouraged and, seeing how Santa is a huge charity fundraising supporter, he has sent a selection of Santa suits and Mrs. Claus dresses to give away at the Winter Wonderland Walk.
There are two distances to choose from either 2.4 miles (1 lap) or 4.8 miles (2 laps).
Registration
Registration Fees are: £5 for those aged 16+. Children under 16 free. You also get exclusive entrance to the Rowans Christmas Fair before it opens to the general public.
Please note, organisers do not recommend wheelchairs or pushchairs as some parts of the walk can become very narrow.
Santa Suit Giveaway
There is a selection of adult and youth (aged 7+) Santa Suits and Mrs. Claus dresses to give away, which have been kindly donated to the charity. There are a variety of sizes available however these are subject to availability and will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis at the event. Alternatively, if you do not wish to wear a Santa suit please feel free to walk in fancy dress, Christmas jumpers, or anything fun and festive.
Sponsorship
The charity’s reliance on voluntary donations remains critical in the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic, and so it's calling upon the local community for help to raise vital and much-needed funds by raising £25 (each/per family) in sponsorship if they are able to. Take a look at the fundraising tips below to find out how to set up your JustGiving page on the Winter Wonderland Walk Fundraising Page.
All fundraising for the Winter Wonderland Walk will be supporting the future of local hospice care.
Adults (16+) £5.
Under 16s free.
