In Didcot, the family-friendly Steam Gala comes to Didcot Railway Centre (11 - 13 September) ahead of their festive Steam into Christmas event (5, 6, 12, 13, 19 - 23 December). A major new exhibition at Blenheim Palace (now until 1 November), Dinosaurs Are Forever - is a must-see attraction featuring five monumental articulated sculptures for all ages to enjoy. Whilst Terror on the Thames in Henley-on-Thames, is a great free family-friendly event with fun trick or treating (30 October).
2026 marks the 50th anniversary of Agatha Christie’s death. To commemorate the milestone, Wallingford Museum is hosting a special exhibition, 'Agatha Christie’s Wallingford', exploring her life at Winterbrook House and her deep connection to the town. Autumn is the perfect time to visit Hook Norton Brewery and discover how the hops and grains harvested at this time of year are transformed into beer.
