Oxfordshire is ready to welcome you for a year rich in literature, landscape and lively cultural moments across historic Oxford, the Cotswolds and the Thames-side towns. Whether you’re exploring grand palaces, enjoying creative festivals or visiting family-friendly attractions, there’s inspiring events to discover in every season.

2026 marks the 50th anniversary of Agatha Christie’s death. Explore Wallingford Museum’s special exhibition 'Agatha Christie’s Wallingford', which looks at the Queen of Crime’s life at Winterbrook House and her deep connections to the town of Wallingford. At Blenheim Palace, the major new immersive exhibition Blueprints of Power, 14th February - 10th April 26, brings the story of architect Sir John Vanbrugh to life, as part of nationwide Vanbrugh300 celebrations. In Oxford, the Bodleian Libraries present Pets & their People, 11th March - 11th November, exploring the human–animal bond, whilst out in the north of the county, Hook Norton Brewery Sportive returns on 31st May, offering riders a scenic cycling adventure through the Oxfordshire countryside starting and finishing at the historic brewery.  Along the Thames, the international acclaimed Henley Festival returns this summer from 8th - 12th July 2026, transforming the riverside into the UK’s only black‑tie music and arts festival, complete with a floating stage, fine dining and nightly fireworks.

From palace exhibitions and literary anniversaries to riverside festivals, wildlife adventures and glorious gardens, Oxfordshire offers unforgettable events and experiences throughout the year. Start planning your 2026 adventure — your Oxfordshire journey awaits.
