2026 marks the 50th anniversary of Agatha Christie’s death, with Wallingford Museum hosting a special exhibition, 'Agatha Christie’s Wallingford', exploring her life at Winterbrook House and her deep connection to the town. The new Blenheim Palace Festival brings global superstars and award-winning performers for five days of music (27 June – 4 July), while the internationally acclaimed Henley Festival returns this summer (8 – 12 July), transforming the Thames riverside into a unique cultural experience. It's a tasty time to visit the market town of Wantage, with its international food and drink festival (5 July). 

In Oxford, the Bodleian Libraries present Pets & their People, exploring the human–animal bond, (now until 11 Nov), whilst City Sightseeing Oxford offers a city bus and walking tour combination ticket, ideal for visitors looking to explore this fascinating city with ease. Returning for the summer, Oxford Castle and Prision welcomes in annual Shakespeare Festival (22 June - 15 Aug) with three open air theatre shows in the castleyard, right in the heart of Oxford.
