Buckinghamshire’s 2026 event calendar is shaping up to be a standout year of creativity, countryside celebrations and family‑friendly adventures across its market towns, heritage estates and storybook landscapes. From riverside festivals and literary gatherings to model villages, museums, railway adventures and country‑house exhibitions, Buckinghamshire’s 2026 is abundant with memorable ways to explore, celebrate and unwind.

Bekonscot Model Village, the world’s oldest original model village, reopens for the season on 14th February with fresh enhancements, half‑term magic shows and toddler activities throughout the spring, whilst the Roald Dahl Museum and Story Centre hosts a packed year of trails, storytelling and creative workshops inspired by Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Matilda and more. In High Wycombe, the town centre bursts into colour during FrogFest in late May, a free family music festival packed with live stages, entertainment and street food, combine with a visit to Eden Shopping Centre as it continues to host seasonal pop‑ups, themed workshops and cultural celebrations.

Get out and about and try something new and exhilarating with the treetop challenge in Wendover Woods, Aylesbury, a great way to burn off some energy and see the woods from a different perspective!  A major new digital‑light exhibition comes to Waddesdon Manor from 27th March, Four Seasons by Bruce and Tink Munro and runs through summer, alongside a brand‑new woodland playground, parkland tours and the autumn return of Standing with Giants. Whilst over in Chalfont St Giles, be transported back to the Tudor era at Chiltern Open Air Museum with the Tudors: Life, Falconry and Folk over Easter long weekend from 3rd - 6th April, ahead of the 1940s Weekend at Bletchley Park on 13th & 14th June 26.
