About

Join us for a new monthly comedy night at the Albany!
Showcasing the best of the UK comedy scene, with plenty of familiar faces and fast rising future stars, it will be a night you won't want to miss.

Resident host Chantel Nash, finalist in the BBC New Comedy Awards 2023, will be bringing the laughs to your doorstep every month.

Chantel started stand-up in mid 2022 and has been gradually clawing her way onto the open mic and black comedy circuits. With a splattering of gong shows under her belt, her effortless charm is winning over audiences.

Within her first year of performing, Chantel has shared the stage with Richard Blackwood, Slim and Kane Brown, and will be featured in Mo Gilligan's Spotlight on Audible. This fast rising future star of comedy is one you certainly want to see.

Joining Chantel on the line-up for July are:

Michael Odewale

BAFTA winning Team Writer / Performer, Michael Odewale has fast gained recognition for his distinctive comic style. A fresh and unfiltered voice known for delivering sharp and beautifully executed content, his debut show #BlackBearsMatter won Best Show at both the 2019 Leicester Comedy Festivals and achieved critical acclaim at the Edinburgh Fringe 2019, earning him a nomination for Best Newcomer in the Dave Edinburgh Comedy Awards.

Kerry Godliman

The charmingly straight-talking, quick-witted Kerry Godliman is one of the country's best performers. Both an incredibly talented comedian and a phenomenal actor, Kerry is best known for her appearances on Mock the Week, Live at the Apollo, Michael McIntyre's Big Show, Taskmaster, Hypothetical, Ultimate Worrier, The Jonathan Ross Show, The Royal Variety Performance and 8 Out of 10 Cats. She has also appeared on Frankie Boyle's New World Order, A League of Their Own, There's Something About Movies, and Outsiders.

Mustafa Yasin

Mustafa is an exciting new voice in British comedy. Born in Pakistan and having spent his adolescence in London, Mustafa was a runner up at the Laughing Horse New Act of the Year competition in 2018. The next year he won the Quantum Leopard Champion of Champions award 2019 and was nominated for the prestigious Leicester Mercury Comedian of the Year award in 2020.

Samira Banks

Samira is a rising comedian of Middle Eastern descent, and she is shaking up the comedy circuit. Impressively, she clinched the top spot at the Vauxhall Ding Dong Gong show, an accomplishment achieved within just three performances. Further solidifying her standing, Samira triumphed as the winner of the esteemed 2023 So You Think You're Funny? contest. Watch out for this burgeoning talent as she consistently delights audiences with her sharp wit and captivating charm.
