About

This summer, join Bletchley Park to mark 80 years since the end of World War Two with Summer of Peace, a season of reflection, creativity, and hope.

Commemorating the anniversaries of VE Day and VJ Day, Summer of Peace explores what peace means today through the voices of local young people, artists, communities and visitors to Bletchley Park.

Discover moving stories in a community exhibition, enjoy creative drop-in activities and contribute to a growing collaborative artwork that everyone can help shape, offering something special for all ages this summer.

COMMUNITY EXHIBITION
Open from 28 July until 31 August
Bletchley Park will be hosting a special exhibition created by local young people, artists and communities, explaining what peace means to them. This exhibition explores the theme of peace from different contemporary perspectives, including those with lived experience of war and conflict.

PEACE BLOOMS
Available to view until 31 August
Join in and add to a growing piece of art, Bletchley Park's Peace Blooms installations. Using various recycled materials, visitors of all ages can make flowers or decorate stones. These will then be added to form our Peace Blooms installations, both inside and outside. Visit throughout the summer to see these colourful, collaborative artworks grow and develop.

CREATIVE WORKSHOPS
Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 28 July until 29 August (plus Sunday 24 August)
Families and visitors of all ages can take part in summer crafting activities themed around peace, including adding to a vibrant, evolving artwork: Peace Blooms.
