Feel the Christmas magic in Portsmouth this festive season with a programme of events designed to support local businesses and promote the city's high streets.
There will be three sparkling nights of festive fun as the Christmas lights are switched on at events sponsored by HSDC and Nation Radio. You can expect live music, dazzling lights, and special guests - including the magical Father Christmas…
Southsea, Palmerston Road
Thursday 20 November, 5pm - 7pm
Live music, dazzling lights, local acts and special guests from the Kings Theatre’s panto, Aladdin – Shaun Williamson (Barry from Eastenders) and the fabulous Rustie Lee. As well as PFC stars!
Cosham Carols in Cosham High Street
Friday 21 November, 5pm - 6.30pm
Traditional Christmas vibes with lights, carols around the tree, and music from the Resonate choir, Collingwood Brass Band and Charlalas.
City Centre, inside Cascades, Commercial Road
Saturday 22 November, 4.30pm - 6pm
Live music, dazzling lights, local acts and special guests including the stars from the Theatre Royal’s panto Snow White and a special appearance from Shaun Williamson (Barry from Eastenders) from the Kings Theatre’s panto, Aladdin.
Don't forget, the Portsmouth Christmas Market will also return to the city centre, opening on Saturday 22 November. There's also the Love Southsea Christmas Markets beginning on Saturday 6 December, as well as the final Hampshire Farmers' Market of the year in Southsea on Sunday 21 December.
Plus, Portsmouth On Ice is back in the Guildhall Square, where you can ice skate under the twinkling lights.
