Buzz Cinema is a film festival that showcases films from local, emerging filmmakers across the three counties to established industry professionals.
Running from May 8-17, this ten day film festival takes over the historic town of Leighton Buzzard.
Alongside screening short films, Buzz Cinema hosts a number of workshops, including sound and editing, providing local communities with opportunities to learn, connect, and develop their film skills.
The film festival also hosts a number of family-friendly events, a 48-hour film challenge (where teams have 48 hours to create a short film), film Q&As, and, new for this year, will be holding an awards evening, celebrating standout films from across five categories. Winners are decided by expert judges and audience members who will have voted for their favourite films throughout the week from either the fiction, documentary, local film, experimental, or Young Filmmakers categories.
