Al Shaqab Lockinge with Ladies Day

About

The Al Shaqab Lockinge Stakes, the only Group 1 of Newbury's flat season, promises to deliver racing of the highest quality on Saturday 18th May. The mile contest worth £400,000 has an illustrious roll of honour with the likes of Frankel, Palace Pier, and Baaeed as previous winners.

Aside from top quality excitement on the racetrack, there is plenty for racegoers to enjoy. Ladies are encouraged to showcase their finest attire to be in with the chance of winning on-the-spot prizes in the Lockinge style awards as part of Ladies Day. Exclusive complementary behind the scenes opportunities are available to all racegoers including parade ring tours, jockey talks and trips to the start. All visitors can also get up close and personal with a retired racehorse courtesy of Greatwood charity. Live music will be playing throughout the day before the legendary Ibiza saxophonist Lovely Laura & DJ Ben Santiago return to the stage for the Lockinge Afterparty. Racegoers are guaranteed to dance the day away at the memorable afterparty to end a fantastic summer's day racing. Tickets are aavailable to purchase at https://newburyracecourse.co.uk, under 18s go free.
