The award-winning Watermill Theatre has a reputation as one of the very best producing regional theatres in the country. It regularly transfers shows into the West End and has enjoyed success on Broadway. The theatre seats 220 people within a converted mill in beautiful gardens on the bank of the River Lambourn. It has a bar and licensed restaurant. Although in a tranquil, rural location the theatre is easily accessible.
Stay on the A34 until the junction with the A4 signposted Hungerford and Newbury. Follow signs to Newbury from the exit roundabout and turn first left opposite the Hare and Hounds (brown sign for The Watermill).Turn left at bottom of hill. Turn right immediately after you have driven under the A34 bridge and continue along the road into the village of Bagnor and left at the sign for The Watermill.
By BusNewbury Buses, service 4 out and return runs every two hours, Monday to Saturday from Newbury bus station to Station Road, Speen, approximately 20 minutes walk to The Watermill.
