The par 72 championship course was designed by Commander John Harris, one of Britain's best known course architects and completed by Peter Alliss and Dave Thomas and is set amongst woodland and parkland with many incredible views of the South Downs National Park. Old Thorns is located just minutes from the A3 on Longmoor Road.
On the A3 Liphook-Petersfield bypass, take the exit for Griggs Green. Continue for half a mile before taking a right turn at the signpost for Old Thorns. You will pass the Deer’s Hut pub on the left hand side. Continue to the end of the driveway where you will find the main car park.

Our nearest station is Liphook, only 2.1 miles away. From Liphook station, take a left onto Station road and then turn right onto Portsmouth Road. At the roundabout, take the first exit. At the next roundabout, take the first exit onto Longmoor Road. Remain on Longmoor Road for just over 1 mile. You will see the sign post for Old Thorns on the left. Take the left turn. You will pass the Deer’s Hut pub on the left hand side. Continue to the end of the driveway where you will find the main car park.

Bus: The nearest bus stop is Bircholt Road which is on the 250 - Liphook Village Circular Bus Route.
Train: The nearest train station is in Liphook, approximately 2 miles away. We are located a 50 minute walk away but would recommend guests to take a taxi to get to Old Thorns.
Air: London Heathrow is the nearest airport, approximately 40 miles away. Other nearby airports include London Gatwick (50 miles away) and Southampton (40 miles away). We suggest that guests prebook a taxi to get to the hotel.
