The Dog & Bear Hotel

About

Situated in the Kentish town of Lenham. The Dog and Bear offers charming accommodation with modern facilities, an old traditional coaching inn built in 1602. A pub with rooms.

Queen Anne stayed here in 1704 and her Royal Coat of Arms is proudly displayed above the front door.

This is an ideal location for touring the Kent countryside, close to the county town of Maidstone with its historical past. Lenham is in an ideal situation for all travellers and is enjoyed every year by overseas visitors. Coaches are welcome either as a resting point for tea and scones or overnight stays. Within easy reach of London, Canterbury, Maidstone or Leeds Castle.

Accommodation consists of 24 en suite rooms all with telephone, TV and tea/coffee-making facilities. The 4-poster bedroom, which overlooks the village square, is an ideal way to end a perfect day.

Customers or residents can enjoy a meal in the oak-beamed restaurant with seating for up to 50 people. A la carte menu and a choice of wines. Bar snacks are also available in the comfort of the main bar, which is especially cosy in the wintertime with a blazing log fire.

The private function room can be hired for weddings, parties or business meetings. The room has its own fully stocked bar. Staff will be happy to arrange anything you need to make your special occasion a day to remember.
