There are a range of accommodation options for guests including hotel rooms, Eco Pods and self-catering apartments. A range of rooms and suites are available all with double or twin beds, ensuite and tv. The penthouse apartment offers stunning views over the golf course and sleeps up to 6 in 3 bedrooms, a kitchen, lounge and dining area.

Dining options at this countryside resort include the Kings Restaurant, which has a brasserie menu featuring its famous Sunday carvery. Traditional Afternoon Tea is available Monday - Saturday for guests to enjoy an indulgent treat. Guests can also enjoy a relaxed Sports Bar, with a bar menu and sporting theme, which plays sports fixtures across multiple screens. 

Also on-site, guests can relax in Oties cafe, serving coffee, waffles, pancakes and ice cream daily. The Atrium Champagne Bar offers guests a vibrant evening option to sit and enjoy a cocktail. 

Elevation Health Club, with panoramic views across the golf course, provides guests with complimentary access to the large gym with state of the art equipment, tennis court, 20 metre swimming pool and wellness suite featuring a sauna, jacuzzi and steam room. Exercise classes can be booked for an additional charge. 

Guests can pre book and enjoy a range of treatments at the Old Thorns spa, including massages, facials, pedicures using luxury ranges such as the Natural Spa Factory. When staying with us on a spa package, guests can relax on the spa sun terrace during the summer or in the relaxation lounge. 

The par 72 championship course was designed by Commander John Harris, one of Britain's best known course architects and completed by Peter Alliss and Dave Thomas and is set amongst woodland and parkland with many incredible views of the South Downs National Park. Guests can enjoy Toptracer Range (virtual golf) and try challenges against friends. The onsite Under Armour Pro Shop & Leisure Store is open for all guests to visit and shop golfing and leisure wear. 

If you are looking for the perfect location to let your hair down and party the night away, try one of Old Thorns legendary tribute nights, Christmas parties or New Year's Eve events. Running a full line up of tribute nights throughout the year, the resort welcomes many fantastic tribute acts to the stage in its ballroom, with guests enjoying a 3 course meal, DJ and disco in the price of the ticket. 

Business travellers can expect a conference centre with a variety of meeting rooms for meetings of all sizes, AV equipment, dining and refreshments can be provided. Large multiday conferences, banqueting dinners and events are welcome and can be catered for at Old Thorns.

Directions by car

Old Thorns is located just minutes from the A3 on Longmoor Road.

On the A3 Liphook-Petersfield bypass, take the exit for Griggs Green. Continue for half a mile before taking a right turn at the signpost for Old Thorns. You will pass the Deer’s Hut pub on the left hand side. Continue to the end of the driveway where you will find the main car park.

Public Transport Directions

Our nearest station is Liphook, only 2.1 miles away. From Liphook station, take a left onto Station road and then turn right onto Portsmouth Road. At the roundabout, take the first exit. At the next roundabout, take the first exit onto Longmoor Road. Remain on Longmoor Road for just over 1 mile. You will see the sign post for Old Thorns on the left. Take the left turn. You will pass the Deer’s Hut pub on the left hand side. Continue to the end of the driveway where you will find the main car park.

Bus: The nearest bus stop is Bircholt Road which is on the 250 - Liphook Village Circular Bus Route.

Train: The nearest train station is in Liphook, approximately 2 miles away. We are located a 50 minute walk away but would recommend guests to take a taxi to get to Old Thorns. 

Air: London Heathrow is the nearest airport, approximately 40 miles away. Other nearby airports include London Gatwick (50 miles away) and Southampton (40 miles away). We suggest that guests prebook a taxi to get to the hotel.
