Coopers Farm Cottage

About

Coopers Cottage is a detached Grade II listed farm building, set within the Coopers Farm farmyard and surrounded by 100 acres of meadows, copses, ponds and streams. The building has recently been carefully restored to blend ancient charm with the benefits of 21st century living.

Inside, the cottage feels like a well loved home thanks to an interesting mix of antique furniture, comfy sofas, big rugs and wooden floors. For those who enjoy contemplating a log fire, the sitting room has a huge inglenook fireplace with a wood burner leading through to a fully equipped kitchen and laundry room with loo. Upstairs, where all the rooms are vaulted into the original oak beams, there is a double bedroom, twin bedroom, bathroom with power shower and a separate second loo.

The cottage has an electric oven and hob, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, microwave, washer/drier, TV, video, CD player and oil fired central heating.

Outside there is a very secluded south west facing terrace garden with panoramic views across unspoilt farmland - an ideal spot to savour a chilled glass of wine while you sit and watch the sun go down. You are also free to wander around the farm, take a dip in one of the natural ponds (delightful but very chilly!) or picnic by a stream, and if you are feeling energetic we'd be thrilled if you want to lend a hand with the hay making, charcoal burning or lambing!

All the heating, electricity, linen, towels and logs are included in the price and in order to make your visit as relaxing as possible we can also offer additional treats such as a range of delicious home-cooked meals (using Coopers Farm beef, lamb and vegetables), farm eggs, honey and charcoal.

Well behaved dogs are welcome (downstairs only), but please don't bring them if there is ANY chance of them chasing the sheep. The riding from Coopers Farm is wonderful and is you want to bring your horse we are also happy to accommodate them with excellent stabling and grazing.
