Road Directions

By Car
Gravesham has excellent road communications with London, Gatwick, the Channel Ports, East Anglia and the North via the A2 and the Dartford Tunnel.

On the M25 take junction 2 (A2) towards Canterbury. From the A2 take the A227 turn off and head towards Gravesend. The A227 (Wrotham Road) takes you directly into the Town Centre, and past the Civic Centre and Woodville Halls Theatre. Follow the one way system along Bath Street down the hill to the roundabout turning right. The first turning on the right takes you into one of the many carparks, with the TOWNCENTRIC located alongside St.George's Church.

Public Transport Directions

By Train
Gravesend, Northfleet and Higham from Charing Cross. Meopham and Sole Street from Victoria. There are good services to the Medway Towns and the Kent Coast.

If arriving at Gravesend from the direction of the Medway Towns, exit the station from platform 'one', and turn left. Carry on to the top of the road, turn right to find the Civic Centre and the Woodville Halls Theatre. Turn left to head into the town centre, and the TOWNCENTRIC office.

If arriving from the London direction, exit the station from platform 'two' and turn right. Carry on to the top of the road, turn right to find the Civic Centre and the Woodville Halls Theatre. Turn left to head into the town centre, and the TOWNCENTRIC office.

By Bus
Frequent local services to most nearby towns are run by Arriva Bus Services. Timetable information is available from their helpline on 08701 20 10 88 or 08706 08 26 08.

By Taxi
The main Taxi Rank is conveniently situated at the junction of New Road and Bath Street, close to the station and shops. Also a Taxi Rank outside the railway station, platform 'one'.

By Ferry
Half hourly ferry service from Gravesend to Tilbury Riverside, from where there are rail links to East London, the City and Southend. For crossing details, please telephone 07973 39 01 24.
