The Needles Landmark Attraction

About

As soon as you think of the Isle of Wight the iconic image of the world famous chairlift taking you to see the needles rocks and coloured sands spring to mind.  The Islands most famous landmark attraction has so much more to enjoy than the stunning views it is a destination not to be missed.

The range of attractions includes the spectacular chairlift ride to the beach and the sand cliffs. At the sand shop visitors can make there own unique coloured sand souvenir.

You’ve seen 3D, and now at The Needles you can take another step into the immersive magic of cinema with our incredible 4D sensory experience. Imagine being drawn into an exciting world where everything you see is in 4D and everything you hear is in powerful cinema surround sound ─ with the added fun of ‘feeling’ the action too!

New for 2018! The highly anticipated sequel to smash-hit attraction film The Lost World sees a helicopter accident leave stressed executive Bob adrift in a boat at sea. Traumatised by his earlier encounters, Bob’s worst nightmares come true when he finds a terrifying dinosaur stowaway on board. But his only hope of rescue lies on a dinosaur infested island and Bob has no choice but to take his prehistoric passenger along, face his fears and Return to the Lost World.

Alum Bay Glass is educational as well as fun. Visitors can watch the fascinating art of glass blowing and see craftsmen make a variety of crafted glassware.

At the IW Sweet manufactory watch our skilled sweet makers create sweets that you will not find anywhere else, a sample of the sweets is compulsory!

There is a variety of children’s attractions including a traditional Victorian carousel, Spins and Needles Tea Cup ride and not to mention the Games Kiosk which includes tin can alley and hook a duck. You even win a prize every time!

The Spin Cycle and Water Walkerz are great favourites too, not forgetting The Vintage Cars that allows the younger visitors to drive their own car!

An absolutely roaring success, our newly improved and refurbished for 2018 prehistoric Jurassic Adventure Golf course now features a 11-hole course with some 5 and 6 par holes all beautifully set off by imaginative water features and storyboards depicting 11 different dinosaur species. Months of gloating could be yours by sinking that winning putt on the 9th green and you are sure to love it, whether you happen to be an expert golfer or have never held a putter before!

The Isle of Wight is famed for its dinosaur heritage and is already regarded as one of the richest areas for discovery in Europe – earning it the title ‘Dinosaur Island’. According to a new Dinosaur Map of Britain compiled by Dr Paul Barrett, Merit Researcher from the Natural History Museum, the Isle of Wight is the UK’s Dinosaur Capital. But fear not, the dinosaurs inhabiting our adventure golf course won’t bite…

The Needles Landmark Attraction offers a great shopping experience including The Pier Head Shopping Emporium where you can find an interesting range of souvenirs to suit all budgets and tastes whilst shopping like a Victorian. The roaring success of the Taste of The Wight outlet which offers visitors a local produce authentic experience is now show casing an even larger range for 2018, a must see when visiting.

The Needles Landmark Attraction has full catering facilities including a fully licensed tearoom and kiosks serving fresh coffee, ice cream and more.

MARCONI'S LICENSED TEA ROOMS & MARCONIS RESTAURANT
