Our day tours go into the oldest colleges including New College, founded in 1379 as seen in the Harry Potter films, and television productions of Inspector Morse and Lewis.Exeter College is visited on most tours was founded in 1314 and is seen in the final episode of Morse. Hertford College, founded in 1282, is seen in Brideshead Revisited. All tours go to the University Library. Smart Walk has access to the colleges Admission fees into the colleges have been paid in Advance for you, unlike most other walking tours of Oxford. Our tour starts from Oxford as a Saxon town, to its current position as a world cultural centre, famous for its history and traditions. Oxford has been around for nearly more than 1000 years and we believe it deserves at least 90 minutes of your time.
On our tours you will learn about the history of the city and the university. We will explain the collegiate system of tutorial unique to Oxford and Cambridge, which can also be called as “Oxbridge”. Discover the famous alumni who studied and taught at the university. Go inside the oldest college dining hall, chapel, cloisters and quadrangles.
