With the rapid increase in COVID-19 infections and the resulting changes to government guidance, to help keep everyone safe Hampshire Cultural Trust museums and galleries are currently closed and will remain so until further notice. We will re-open as soon as we can and look forward to welcoming you back.
Housed in the only surviving brick-built barrack blocks left in Aldershot, Aldershot Military Museum tells the story of daily life for both soldier and civilian in the town since 1854.
The story of Aldershot Military Town and the civil towns of Aldershot, Farnborough and Cove is told using vibrant collections, housed within the fascinating, original buildings. Explore the site, admire the tanks and vehicles, join in with the hands-on activities and let your kids take on the assault course challenge. Throughout the year, the museum runs a programme of fun, family-friendly events and activities, you’ll find details on our website.
The gift shop is the perfect place to find a special present for someone interested in military history, and they also stock a wide range of military and local history books, as well as pocket-money treats for children.
The café serves Mozzo coffee, New Forest Ice Cream and a selection of cold drinks and snacks. Free parking is available onsite.
Last entry 30 minutes before closing. Due to the museum’s position within an active military base, there are some restrictions regarding photography. Please ask at reception for more details.
