Come and find out about the wonderful variety of habitats at Sevenoaks Wildlife Reserve, and the wildlife you may spot here during the year.
As we open the newly refurbished Visitor Centre at Sevenoaks Wildlife Reserve, it's the ideal time to rediscover this special place and the wildlife that thrives here.
Throughout the year there will be various opportunities to join us at the reserve for guided walks, Study Days, and Wilder Kent Experiences, all of which will give you the chance to meet the experienced and knowledgeable Kent Wildlife Trust team, including the people who look after this reserve and maintain its habitats for wildlife.
From 10.30am on Wednesday 4 March, you are invited to drop in to the Visitor Centre to talk to the team about the wildlife of Sevenoaks, including some of the highlights to look forward to as the seasons change. Then, at around 11.15am, we'll set out for a short guided walk around the lake to see the best of the reserve in March, including some tips to help you identify trees in the winter. This is a relaxed and slow-paced opportunity to discover a route around the reserve that you can use on your own visits in the future, and will give you the chance to meet some of the team who will be leading guided walks and events at the reserve in the future.
With our brand new cafe now open, your visits to the reserve can be completed with a hot drink and snack whilst enjoying the spectacular views of the lake from the windows. The wildlife spotting and appreciation of nature doesn't need to stop when you pause for refreshments!
Meet the team or join the walk during this Welcome to Sevenoaks opportunity and you'll receive a voucher for a free hot drink when you purchase a slice of cake from the cafe during the day.
Whether you were a regular before the building project started or have never visited before, come along for this opportunity to meet some of the Kent Wildlife Trust team and discover how the reserve might become your new favourite place to be!
