Vikings at Butser Ancient Farm, Hampshire

About

The Vikings have arrived at Butser Ancient Farm in Hampshire!

Explore their encampment as they bring our early medieval meadhalls to life. Discover their weapons and see them in combat, and make your own Viking shield inspired by real designs!

Connect with our past through living history demonstrations and displays with Bjarnarfolk, a late 9th Century Viking reenactment group. See the Vikings at work and play, and witness their warriors in combat first hand!

Get hands-on and learn an ancient skill like spinning or carving chalk as you explore our open-air site

*Normal admission prices apply.

DOGS: Please feel free to bring your dogs with you! We just ask that they are well-behaved and kept on leads at all times.
