Hever in History

About

Step back in time at Hever Castle this August bank holiday weekend and experience history brought to life. Across the grounds you will find fascinating living history encampments, with re-enactments ranging from the Middle Ages through to the 20th century. Visitors of all ages can get up close to authentic weaponry and gleaming suits of armour, and even try them on for size.

Throughout the long weekend, you can enjoy live battle displays and thrilling demonstrations in the arena. The excitement continues with spectacular falconry displays that capture the skill and elegance of these magnificent birds of prey. A highlight of the bank holiday events will be the return of the Knights of Royal England, who will once again compete in the annual Jousting Tournament, filled with pageantry and high-energy action.

This year's August bank holiday Monday also offers plenty of opportunities to relax and indulge. Visitors can enjoy a variety of food and drink options, making it easy to take a break between events and recharge while soaking up the atmosphere. With live performers and family friendly activities across the castle grounds, there is something for everyone to enjoy.

Whether you are planning a fun family day out or looking for something unique to do over the long weekend, Hever in History is the perfect way to combine entertainment, education, and heritage. Book your tickets today and make the most of your August bank holiday at Hever Castle.
