About

Join Aghh! Zine in Eastbourne for a creative writing workshop with a twist, inspired by the natural landscape of the South Downs! Sunday 7th of May 1pm-3pm
Open to all ages.

Event Description
Have you ever wondered how to self-publish your own work in an accessible way and with total freedom?
Have you ever heard about zines?
Do you know zines can help you take your writing and artistic practice to the next level?
In this workshop we will show you a fun, hands-on, playful and accessible way to present your work on your terms, taking perfectionism off the table.

For this session we will be getting our inspiration from our surroundings: the natural landscape of the South Downs. We will show you how the things around you can ignite your creativity and be a great source for your creative practice.

Workshop structure

We will start this workshop by using creative writing prompts, related to the natural landscape around us, to warm you up. This will be followed by us showing you how to create a DIY zine which you will spend the rest of the workshop creating, using images and your creative writing output.

Accessibility and materials

This workshop is open to all writing and artistic abilities. No experience is required. Families and all ages are welcome, baring in mind we will be using scissors.

The Beacon is fully wheelchair accessible with step free access into the Centre.
More info about accessibility on the Eventbite event page.
