Join us for a special screening of LEE (2024), as part of our 2026 Surrealist Week celebrations!
Starring Kate Winslet, the acclaimed biographical drama that tells the extraordinary story of photographer, war correspondent, and cultural icon Lee Miller.
This screening will take place in the Lee Miller Gallery at Farleys House & Gallery, Lee Miller's former home and the place where she spent the latter part of her life. The unique setting offers a rare opportunity to experience the film in the surroundings that were so central to her personal story and legacy.
On display in the Lee Miller Gallery will be the new exhibition 'Grim Glory: Lee Miller's Britain at War', a show that includes works that directly inspired scenes in the movie.
Following the screening, there will be a Q&A with Antony Penrose, Lee Miller's son, co-director of the Lee Miller Archives, and author of The Lives of Lee Miller, the acclaimed biography on which the film is based. Antony will share insights into his mother's life and the enduring relevance of her work as an artist, photographer, and witness to history.
A memorable evening celebrating the life and legacy of one of the 20th Century's most fascinating and pioneering women.
