Come and make a different kind of Christmas wreath- one to treat our local wildlife over the festive period!
Don't forget to look after our feathered friends this Christmas!
Come and make a very unusual type of wreath, covered with lots of treats that will help birds through the cold winter period.
We'll be using pinecones to make mini bird feeders full of seeds and nuts, then attaching them to a natural wreath base to make an outdoor decoration that will help the birds visiting your garden over Christmas.
Tickets include 20% off in the cafe on the day of the event, so you can arrive early and have a family lunch overlooking the lake, or treat yourselves to hot drinks to enjoy during the workshop.
This event will take place inside the Visitor Centre. You may like to bring an apron or an old shirt to protect your clothing while you make your wreath.
To make the bird feeders we will be using nuts, seeds and berries. Please get in touch before booking if you have any allergies that may be affected by using these materials. Please also be aware that we will be using lard as part of this activity.
Children must be supervised by an adult at all times. Tickets are for a maximum group of 4 people per wreath, this must include the accompanying adults. Due to the materials being used this event is not recommended for children under 3.
This event is scheduled for 1 hour, but the time taken to complete the activity will vary depending on the age and interest of each child or family. You may be finished well within the hour, or find you want to stay a little longer!
Charges apply in the car park, card/app payments only.
