Eton College invites the local community to join us for the 50th Eton Action Fair on Saturday 16 September, 11am-4pm. Eton Action's largest annual fundraiser has raised over £40,000 in previous years and will this year celebrate its 50th anniversary.
Entry to the Eton Action Fair is £3 for adults and £2 for children. All funds raised by ticket sales, pitch fees and the students' stalls go to the five Eton Action charities; ABC to read, Action Cerebral Palsy, Alzheimers Research UK, Siobhan's Trust and Windsor Food Share. Each year the fair draws thousands of visitors from Slough, Windsor and Maidenhead.
There will be even more for younger children to enjoy this year, including a bouncy castle and a mini train, as well as the Ocean Express Play Bus, face painting and an inflatable assault course. 100 local charities, artisans and independent businesses will set up stalls to raise funds for their causes. The College Collections will also run tours of the Museum of Eton Life, the Verey Gallery and Lower School, which is the oldest surviving classroom in Europe.
Held in the historic centre of Eton College, the fair will be opened in School Yard by a celebrity guest and Eton College pupils will provide games, food, raffle stalls, and musical performances. hey will be joined by performers from the local community such as dance groups, choirs, a search and rescue dog demonstration and a steel band, like that which opened the fair 50 years ago.
