Experience the magic of the Brighstone Christmas Tree Festival, a cherished festive tradition taking place across Brighstone, Mottistone and surrounding villages on the Isle of Wight from 3-6 December 2026.
Featuring hundreds of beautifully decorated Christmas trees displayed across a variety of venues, this unique community event brings together local organisations, schools, charities, businesses and residents in a celebration of creativity, festive spirit and community.
Visitors are invited to discover an inspiring collection of Christmas tree displays, each individually decorated and designed around unique themes. With venues spread throughout Brighstone, Mottistone and the surrounding area, the festival offers a wonderful opportunity to explore the West Wight while enjoying the festive atmosphere.
Every year, hundreds of trees are showcased, creating a spectacular seasonal experience for visitors of all ages.
The Brighstone Christmas Tree Festival is free to visit, making it one of the Isle of Wight's most accessible festive events. Donations are welcomed and help support local causes while ensuring the festival can continue to thrive for future generations.
Since its launch in 1996, the festival has raised nearly £150,000 for local and national charities, highlighting its long-standing commitment to supporting good causes. The event traditionally begins with a Christmas tree lighting ceremony at St Mary's Church, Brighstone, in aid of Mountbatten Hospice.
Today, the festival attracts more than 6,500 visitors each year, making it one of the most popular Christmas events on the Isle of Wight.
Combining festive creativity, community spirit and charitable fundraising, the Brighstone Christmas Tree Festival is a highlight of the Isle of Wight's Christmas calendar and a wonderful way to celebrate the start of the festive season.
