Seán Millar

About

We are delighted to present an evening of beautifully crafted Folk songs with Seán Millar also known as Doctor Millar. This renowned 'musicians musician' and songwriter hails from Dublin.
Seán is also a writer and global award winning theatre composer. He's released 5 solo critically acclaimed albums and played in iconic European venues and festivals such as Glastonbury.
Artists such as Damien Rice, Jack Lukeman, Gavin Friday and Tom Dunne have sung Seán Millar songs. Pablo Nutini has highly praised his lyrical style.
His album 'The Bitter Lie' got him nominated for a Hotpress Heineken award for best songwriter and has made several critics best Irish albums of all time lists.
Seán is looking forward to his first visit to The Railway Inn. His honest and genuine songs often explore the complex and contradictory nature of the darker side of love.
Special Guest:
Charlie Smith will be joining Seán Millar as a special guest for this performance.
Charlie Smith is a singer-songwriter from Hampshire, UK. The sound of my music is chillingly sweet, raw, and emotive. In keeping my honest approach to music my recordings have no unnecessary effects. Focusing on chords and melody above all else. I'm proud of my music not because it's perfect but because it tells a story.
