A one-day workshop, held in the breath-taking Orangery, introducing you to the art of silk screen printing. You'll learn the principles of screen printing and experiment with shape, texture and colour.
The morning session begins with a tour of the gardens and outside spaces with our Head Gardener, Graeme, to gather inspiration for your prints. Back in the Orangery you'll work your sketches up into a design and use shades inspired by the season to build up your print with layers of colour. Your tutor will provide you with the skills and share supplier information with you to carry on printing at home.
All materials, printing equipment and light refreshments are supplied. Please bring an apron or painting shirt, a packed lunch and a sketch book and pencils. Suitable for beginners or as a refresher course.
Our print workshops are run by Rachel Moore of iPrintedThat, a Kent based artist and printmaker who has been running workshops for children and adults since 2005, so you'll be in safe hands!
