Mission Christmas – The Marvellous Elf Inventors
Have you ever wondered why The Historic Dockyard Chatham closes its doors every Christmas? For more than 400 years, workers at the Dockyard have been keeping a closely guarded festive secret…
Across the world, dockyards go on high alert during the holiday season. Hidden deep within the Historic Dockyard is a secret sub-station, concealed from view. Here, a team of inventive elves stand ready to help Father Christmas should he need assistance with his sleigh, run into trouble with his Santa-Nav, or track down a child staying away from home.
This year, the elves are especially excited to welcome visitors through the sub-station, although a little mischief has been taking place…
The Dockyard's elves have been busy creating new inventions for Father Christmas, inspired by the historic trades and stories of the site. But something has gone wrong, the inventions aren't working properly. Families are invited to take on a very special mission – can they help get everything back up and running in time to save Christmas?
At the end of the adventure, children will enjoy a magical encounter with Father Christmas himself. Impressed by their efforts, he will present each child with a special gift to take home, a token of thanks for helping the elves complete their mission.
What's Included?
- A guided 45-minute Christmas story with interactive activities
- A private meet-and-greet with Father Christmas for each group
