Herstmonceux Castle Estate invites you to journey back over 600 years for a Medieval Heritage Weekend, taking place on the first May Bank Holiday weekend.

Explore the castle as it was in 1441, brought vividly to life with knights in combat, bustling medieval camps and skilled artisans practicing the trades that sustained this fortress.

Throughout the weekend, visitors of all ages can enjoy thrilling demonstrations, watch traditional crafts being created before their eyes and take part in family-friendly activities that make history tangible and unforgettable.

This is an exciting opportunity to walk in the footsteps of those who lived, worked, and fought here six centuries ago, connecting with the rich heritage of this remarkable castle.
