Everyone is welcome to celebrate this moment in history through a range of services and activities at Winchester Cathedral.

FRIDAY 5TH MAY AT 7.00PM
Service of Thanksgiving for the King's Coronation
You are cordially invited to attend the event of the season, as Winchester Cathedral will host a majestic service of thanksgiving and celebration to mark the coronation of King Charles III.
For this joyful occasion, the cathedral will be transformed with greenery, shrubs and trees, a nod to King Charles III's love for nature. The air will be filled with triumphant music from a 200 strong youth choir.

SATURDAY 6TH MAY, TIME TBC
Screening of King Charles III Coronation

Take a seat in the majestic Nave of Winchester Cathedral and be a part of history.
His Majesty The King Charles III will be crowned at Westminster Abbey and the ceremony will be conducted by the Archbishop of Canterbury, the Most Reverend Justin Welby.This televised service will be available to watch inside Winchester Cathedral.
As well as the TV screens throughout the Nave of the cathedral, there will be a central large screen by the altar.

MONDAY 8TH MAY, 11.00AM & 2.00PM
This Royal House of Saxon Kings and Saints Tour
Learn about the Kingdom of England's roots this Coronation Bank Holiday through this special interest tour.
Visit the Anglo-Saxon Minster and learn about its role in the birth of the English nation, the historic figures who ruled, reigned and are remembered here, and the traces of their world which remain visible today. Part of this tour is outside on slightly uneven ground, suitable clothing and footwear should be worn.

Ticket price : £12.50.
