Coral Gold Cup 2022

About

The flagship meeting of Newbury's National Hunt season, the Coral Gold Cup weekend returns to Newbury Racecourse on Friday 1st and Saturday 2nd December.

The weekend kick starts with the Coral Long Distance Hurdle on Friday which last year saw the mighty battle between Champ and Paisley Park. Champ prevailed last year but visitors look set to be treated to seeing the legendary Paisley Park return to the Berkshire track to try go one better this yea. Won last year by the Skelton team with Le Milos, the prestigious £250,000 Coral Gold Cup contest over 3m2f looks set to be a competitive renewal once again on Saturday.

Off the racetrack there is plenty for racegoers to enjoy. The Retraining of Racehorses (RoR) parade takes place before racing begins featuring stars on the track who have gone on to enjoy new careers in retirement. After the conclusion of racing, racegoers can watch the spectacle of the inaugural Goffs Coral Gold Cup sale of point-to-pointers taking place in the parade ring. Visitors can then down to the Coral marquee to join in the after party and celebrate the successes of the weekend!

Tickets are available to purchase at https://newburyracecourse.co.uk. Purchase before 11:59pm on Friday 24th November to take advantage of the advanced saver discount.
