Join us at Newbury Racecourse for a festive day out on Coral Challow Hurdle Day on Saturday 30th December. Celebrate the holiday season with family and friends at the last race meeting of the year at Newbury.
The feature race of the day, the Grade 1 Coral Challow Novice's Hurdle, takes place at 3pm with Champion Trainer Paul Nicholls aiming for a fourth straight victory. Last year won by Hermes Allen who returned to the Coral Gold Cup meeting to win the Grade 2 Coral John Francome Novices' Chase, it is set to be another thrilling renewal.
Off the track there is lots for all the family to enjoy. Our course expert and retired jockey David Crosse will be offering behind the scenes tours of the course and trips to the last fence to see the action up close. We will have our retired racehorse, Maherlvous on site for racegoers to meet and take a photograph with. There will be plenty for the younger race goer to enjoy including crafts and activities and the chance to meet some special guests on site including Mr Monopoly and Harry The Horse to name just a few. Book signings will be taking place during the day with books provided courtesy of Marlborough Sporting.
Purchase tickets before 11:59pm on Saturday 23rd December to take advantage of the advanced saver discount price. All those aged under 18 go free.
