Cobham Choir Spring Concert

About

Cobham Choir is joined by soprano Laura West in the beautiful surroundings of Cobham's 13th Century parish church for a sublime concert of inspirational sacred choral music, with a beauty that transcends it origin to appeal to everyone – whether you are religious, lapsed or atheist, young or older in years. A programme of music written centuries apart but united by its intensely moving melody and words features a special arrangement of Pergolesi's expressive and poignant Stabat Mater alongside music by Howard Goodall (best known for The Vicar of Dibley title music), Mendelssohn and Nigel Hess (best known for Ladies in Lavender and Last of the Summer Wine music).

"Outstanding! Thank you for such a wonderful concert." … "Wonderful singing in an amazing venue." … "A really enjoyable, professional performance, in such an atmospheric location" – audience comments after our last concert
