For 2023, the established festival finds a new home in Winchester, with events taking place at Winchester Cathedral as well as the University of Winchester.
Church Times Festival of Faith & Literature has a mission is to encourage a love of literature as it relates to faith, and to create a thoughtful and relaxing space in which to consider works of literature and their religious and moral themes. It's for anyone who is interested in the big questions of life.
The theme of the 2023 festival is 'Mapping the Landscape.' Believed to be the only literary event in the UK with a focus primarily on faith, the event will feature – as always – a mix of talks, readings and discussions with music, art and drama – with high standards of comfort, catering and accessibility.
Joined by a number of wonderful speakers, including Archbishop Stephen Cottrell, Francis Spufford, Mark Oakley, James Runcie, Gaia Vince, Suzannah Lipscomb, Rowan Williams, and Rachel Mann. A performance by all female a cappella vocal group, Papagena…And a chance to explore the spirituality of the labyrinth in the university chapel has also been confirmed.
