Christmas at Stansted Park

About

Step inside Stansted House this Christmas and explore the beautiful Edwardian Mansion after it has been decorated for the Festive season.

Enjoy an 'upstairs, downstairs' experience as you stroll through the House and admire the traditional decorations, exploring how Christmas has been celebrated through the centuries.

You'll also discover how the Earls of Bessborough celebrated Christmas and learn more about the visit of Queen Elizabeth, wife of King George VI, to Stansted Park in December 1939. Downstairs in the extensive Servants Quarters, you will explore the servants experiences during the festive season, including the origins of Boxing Day.

On Sunday 7 December, donkey rides for children will be available in front of the House throughout our opening hours. Tickets to Stansted House are not required but tickets for a donkey ride will be available to purchase in the Main Hall.

On Sunday 14 December, Petworth Voices will be performing in the beautiful Music Room at 11am & 2:30pm. This is included in your admission ticket to visit Stansted House.

Stansted House and the Chapel of St Paul will be open for free-flow visits on Sunday 7, Sunday 14 and Sunday 21 December between 11am-4pm, with last admission at 3pm. Tickets can be pre-booked via our website or purchased on arrival in the Main Hall.
