The Talbot has for centuries played its part in history. It is said to have provided the stage for Lord Nelson and Lady Hamilton’s love affair to blossom in 1798 and remains one of England’s finest coaching inns.
Located in the lovely village of Ripley and conveniently located within 10 minutes of both Guildford and Woking making it an ideal venue for conferences and events.
There are four meeting rooms and 43 ensuite rooms, the majority of which are located in The Ripley Wing at the rear of the hotel and includes a selection of double, twin and accessible rooms located over two floors. In the main building, you will find a selection of character carriage house and vintage double rooms with low ceilings and historic beams.
The function rooms are all located on the ground floor with access to outside spaces. The largest room, The Wisely and Barns work beautifully together and benefit from a private bar and access to the courtyard.
The chef and his team in the restaurant offer simple British timeless dishes using the very best British and local ingredients and can accommodate all special diets and menus. Alternatively speak to us about the event you have in mind and we can help you put it together.
There is also a cozy bar and lounge with low ceilings and open fires which are ideal spots to relax after a long day. Unwind with one of our local beers or a glass of your favourite wines or our house cocktail. On summer nights enjoy al fresco dining on our south facing garden where team building activities can take place.
There is a large car park located at the rear of the hotel.
