Russell-Cotes Museum and Art Gallery was given to Annie Russell-Cotes by her husband, Merton, as a lavish birthday gift in 1901. In the following years, their assortment of beautiful objects from around the globe started to become a Victorian collection, with elegant pieces dating from the nineteenth and early twentieth century.
There is a regular program of exhibitions featuring both art and artefacts from the Russell-Cotes own extensive collections, and talks, tours and events take place throughout the year. The museum is open Tuesdays - Sundays, and bank holidays, 10 am - 5 pm.
