Ancient Textiles Workshop: Introduction to Nailbinding
Before knitting or crochet, nailbinding was used to make socks, mittens, shawls and hats. The earliest example dates back to 6500 BCE and the method is still popular today in Scandinavia.
During this half-day workshop you'll learn how to get started and three of the best-known stitches. All the materials are supplied and you don't need any previous textile work experience. You'll make a nailbinding sampler and be ready to continue with your own designs.
