Hampshire Food Festival
June and July 2008
Hampshire's food festival is nigh, which means two weeks of celebrating the best of Hampshire's local food and farming. There will be around 100 producers plus pubs, restaurants, delicatessens and farm shops participating, with events for all ages and tastes, including plenty for families and children.
The festival offers the perfect opportunity to meet the producers and find out how your food is grown and made. It's also a great way of exploring the fantastic countryside of the county, and enjoying Hampshire's many pubs, restaurants, tea rooms and delicatessens.
The Hampshire Food Festival is a great platform for promoting the regions produce but it needn't be the only occasion on which you sample it. Fantastic local food and drink is available all year round, so continue to explore the county and try something new every week. Many of the organizations at the festival offer tours and special menus throughout the year so take a look through the producer details on www.hampshirefare.co.uk to find out more. You can also visit a Hampshire Farmers' Market almost every weekend which are mini food festivals in their own right!
