After celebrating its 30th Anniversary in 2005 The Hastings Direct International Championships, was back with a vengeance this June. 2006 saw the championships welcome 4 of the World's top 5 to the courts and this star quality pulled in some of the highest attendances in years.
Justine Henin-Hardenne (BEL) took the title this time round and was crowned 2006 Hastings Direct International Championships winner providing the crowds with one of the best finals in recent years. After a 3 set thriller with Anastasia Myskina (RUS) Henin-Hardenne won 4-6, 6-1, 7-6 (5) to pocket the prize.
